![]() Like iCloud, it features a seamless backup service to keep your snaps safely stashed in the cloud. I will be keeping an eye on my screensaver to see if it updates as I add more pictures to the shared drive, or not. Google Photos is a feature-packed alternative to the Photos app that’s baked into every iPhone. The preview window didn't change, but when I ran my screensaver it was fine, and up-to-date, with my selected 1766 photos to choose from. (I did it this way as you cannot "show package contents" from the "choose folder" box). I then dragged the inflight folder I had found into the box which appeared. I opened up the screensaver preferences and in the box for source I clicked "choose folder". Within that folder I then navigated my way to /resources/cloudsharing/data/INFLIGHT - this seems to be where the shred photos are locally stored (at least for me). THEN I went to my pictures folder, right clicked on my Photos Library and selected show package contents. I waited until photos had redownloaded my shared folder. I disabled and re-enabled my iCloud library from photos, and logged out and back in to my apple account. I found this workaround (until Apple find a better fix).
